What timber is used to construct my building?
All of the timber is high quality slow-grown European softwoods originating from Pine or Spruce.
What cladding is available in your garden shed range?
Our garden sheds are made using the following 3 cladding variations, 9mm thick Overlapping board ex 12x125mm, 12mm T&G shiplap ex 16x125mm, 15mm thick T&G pressure treated shiplap ex 19x125mm & 15mm thick T&G log board ex 19x125mm.
What framing is used on your garden shed range?
We currently manufacture garden sheds with the following 2 framing variations, heavy duty framing ex 32×50 mm which finishes at 28x44mm & event thicker heavy duty pressure treated framing ex 63×50 mm which finishes at 58x44mm.
What wood preserver is used?
All of our wooden garden buildings come pre-treated in a water-based red cedar base coat ( excludes all tanalised buildings ), includes a water resistant preservative to protect the building during transit and give you the opportunity to re-treat it with an appropriate high quality preservative.
Payment and ordering
How can I pay for my order?
You can place your order now online via our secure checkout service. Alternatively if you would feel more comfortable you can also place your order by calling Shed Monkey on 0333 577 9400 – Over the phone we are now able to accept the following major credit and debit cards; Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro (formerly Switch) and Solo. If you opt to pay online, we except all major debit/cards and Paypal.
How do I know my order has been received and confirmed?
In addition to the on screen order confirmation page a confirmation email will be sent to you if you have ordered on-line. If you have ordered over the telephone, a sales team representative will confirm the order has been placed and the payment has been received.
When will my order be processed?
With card payments and Paypal, funds are taken at the point of purchase and orders will be processed the same day if received before 4pm.
Where do you deliver?
We operate a delivery service to most areas of the UK, timescales are shown on each individual product page, delivery for the Flex Apex range are normally 3 working days – more information can be found on the delivery page that shows clearly with a coloured map.
Is delivery free throughout the UK mainland?
Delivery is normally FREE within the post codes we have chosen, where applicable this will be clearly marked on every product. If the product mentions FREE delivery then you should check the delivery map to see which delivery areas are available.
Is there anything I must do when I take a delivery?
Yes. We request that you leave a free space where the building can be left as close to the delivery kerbside as possible. In certain circumstances (some larger garden buildings) you may be required to help the driver with the unloading of heavy panels & parts.
How will my garden building be delivered?
Currently all garden buildings are supplied in individual panel pieces and are loaded & unloaded by hand. The new Flex Apex range will be delivered by our pallet company, you may need to assist on the unloading.
How do I find out when the delivery will take place?
A member of staff from the logistics team will contact you in advance via telephone regarding the date your product will be delivered. If you are not in at the time of the phone-call, we will leave a message or send an email to the address you provide. We will continue to attempt to contact you until we have successfully advised you of the delivery date.
Can I request an exact delivery date?
Unfortunately due to the frequency and complexity of our delivery routes this is not always possible. The logistics staff will contact you with a delivery date but if you require an exact delivery date we will try to be as flexible as we can however we cannot make any promises as to whether this can be achieved.
Can I request an exact time of day for delivery?
Unfortunately, it is impossible to request an exact time for delivery. However, our logistics staff will endeavor to provide you with an approximate time of delivery upon request.
What if I cannot accept a delivery on a specific date?
In certain circumstances it may be possible for you to delay the delivery date. However, if you do delay delivery, your building may take a longer period of time to arrive at your address than originally advertised.
How large will is the delivery vehicle?
The building will be delivered either on a 3.5 tonne flatbed van, or a 7.5 tonne/18tonne flatbed truck. If you feel this may cause a problem at the time of delivery it is important that you let us know at the point of order.

How do I install the windows?
Windows are pinned into position using the panel pins provided. You will then need to seal the windows to make your building weatherproof using your preference of a suitable sealant such as silicone, mastic, putty, etc. and beading to reinforce the panes if you wish. We can now offer the beading kit for your building – See individual products for prices.
Is my base level for the building?
By using a spirit level, check your base to ensure that it is level, If the base isn’t level – you may find that you struggle assembling the building as the panels might not line up.
Can I choose Shed Monkey to assemble my building?

What are your policies about making a return?
If you wish to cancel or return your order, you need to send us your request in writing as soon as possible. Can I return the building if it has been painted or modified?
No, if you have painted or modified your garden building, unfortunately it cannot be returned. For full details of our returns policy please see our full terms & conditions.
What If my product has a broken or missing part?
Please contact us as soon as possible regarding the problem. If necessary, please send us photographs highlighting the damage. We will then investigate the problem and endeavor to replace the broken part or the missing component as soon as possible.
