Shed & Log Cabin Assembly

Unfortunately, our company doesn't offer installation of sheds, summer houses, or log cabins. However, we can recommend a number of professional installers who can do the work for you - if you want, we can arrange for one of them to contact you.

All you need to do is provide us with a few additional details in the form below, and we'll handle the rest, or you can go to our ASSEMBLY page which has all the fitters' contact information.

Location : Is your address easy to find using a Sat-Nav?(Required)
Please bear in mind that new properties may not be listed yet, and rural areas may have a large area covered by the same postcode. Please let us know (at the end of the check-list) if we require special directions.
Parking : Can we park close to the installation site without charges?(Required)
Can the fitter get a vehicle close to your site. Permits must be issued where appropriate, and metered parking will be chargeable. Additional charges may be levied if your site is an excessive distance from the closest parking area.
Access : Is there clear access without any height restrictions?(Required)
Buildings come in lots of sizes, most will fit through an average doorway. Please check that terraced houses, gateways, archways, and any other restrictions aren't going to be a problem. Assembly teams won't take parts over fences, walls, up steep slopes, through houses, or carry them excessive distances without prior arrangement. If available, this service may incur an additional charge, and the fitters wouldn't be liable for any accidental damage that may occur.
Obstacles : Is the site clear of plants, shrubs, trees and debris?(Required)
You may need to cut back overhanging tree branches to leave enough headroom to accommodate the building.
Clearance : Is there enough space around the building to allow fitting and maintenance?(Required)
In most cases, fitters require a minimum of 2ft (60cm) on all sides to assemble your building correctly, however they may be able to manage with less. Please let us know if any sides have less than this.

A suitable flat, firm, level base is essential, and must be ready before the assembly team arrives (unless we are providing a base for you of course). Concrete, paving slabs, and decking are suitable for most buildings (inc. wood, plastic, metal etc.). Plastic grids, timber frame or battens are really only suitable for wooden sheds or summerhouses.

Please let us know if there are any dates/times that are unsuitable or that a fitter cannot reach you during the next few days.

Delivery timescale from order.

It takes around 2-4 weeks (or later if preferred) to manufacture and deliver log cabins. The delivery date and time slot will be discussed with you before the delivery.

Standard Delivery & Lead Time

> The lead time will be approximately  2-4 weeks. We will contact you prior to delivery to book in the delivery date.

> As standard, delivery will be made using a 26T HIAB vehicle. We will send you details of this vehicle and the delivery procedure but if there are access problems it is unlikely we will be able to deliver the log cabin on anything smaller with our FREE service. Therefore it is important to advise us of this when placing an order (we will also advise you again after receiving your order when booking in the delivery). If access is an issue we can take it as close as the vehicle can get to but the you may have to take it the rest of the way.

> Delivery is free to mainland UK. However, a number of postcodes may come with an extended lead time. These postcodes include AB, DD, EX, FK, IV, KW, KY, PA, PL, PH, SA, TQ, TR.

> We are not offering delivery to Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland at this time.
If we are unable to deliver a log cabin due to access issues not advised or if your not in when we attempt to deliver, re-delivery charges may apply.

Further information

Your log cabin is delivered kerbside, therefore the delivery driver will be unable to take it much further than the pavement / driveway, depending on access. Where the delivery is made is down to the delivery driver’s discretion.

All deliveries must be signed for. If we are unable to deliver but arrived on the day you selected and in the two hour time slot we advised but there is nobody in, then we would have to take the package away and there may be re-delivery charges. For this reason please listen out for the door bell.

We would strongly recommend that you do not arrange for an installer to arrive the same day as delivery, as delivery can arrive any time between 7am and 6pm.

No fuss, free returns

If a Shed Monkey product is not for you and you’d like to return your shed within 14 days of delivery, then we will collect the item from you without charging a collection fee. No fuss, no fees!

All we ask is that you do not unpack the log cabin or take the Log Cabin out of the packaging. You will be able to see the log cabin on the pallet if you want to double check the quality of the components.

You need to notify us at sales@shedmonkey.com of your wish to cancel your order within this time period.

If you have unpacked the log cabin or taken the log cabin out of the packaging, then you can still return the product to us but you will have to cover the cost of returning the item. This will either need to be through arranging the delivery yourself (to our manufacturing unit in West Yorkshire) or repacking and securing the goods back onto a pallet and we can arrange a collection for you. The cost of this will depend on your location and the item bought – please contact us if you would like us to advise the cost of this. In this case we will not profit from any courier charges but simply pass on the cost we receive to you.

Any delivery surcharges you have paid (such as a quicker delivery, Saturday delivery, or a timed delivery) will not be refunded.

Once your item has been returned it will be checked to ensure it is complete and in a resellable condition. If we deem that the product is not in a resellable condition we shall deduct a reasonable amount to cover any costs to use or return them to you.

Where a refund is to be paid we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
